This Standard specifies the limiting and indicating device concerning the load, motion, and function suitable for the targeted environment for tower cranes specified in JIS B 0146-1. These devices give operation information to operators or other persons involved according to the limitation and indication of the operating motion and function.
It is not applicable to end stops such as buffers used to stop trolleying, travelling or derricking movements, nor to erection, dismantling operations or the changing of a crane's configuration.
General requirements of limiting and indicating devices related to the operation and function of tower cranes are given in JIS B 8827-1.
