This document deals only with the performance of the template bleeding time test, which was developed to improve test reproducibility by controlling the length and depth of the incision. The guideline presents a procedure for performing a template bleeding time. It lists the required materials and equipment, describes affecting variables, defines reference intervals, and deals with the interpretation of results. This document is intended for those who are responsible for performance of the bleeding time test, as well as for manufacturers of bleeding time devices.
