This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for one grade of petroleum lubricating oil intended primarily for use in aircraft gas turbine engines, relevant ancillary equipment and inhibiting of aircraft fuel systems during storage.
Lubricating oil provided to this specification shall possess satisfactory performance and properties when used in appropriate vehicles and/or gas turbines and ancillary equipment operated by the Crown.
