Purpose of this Order.

a. This order explains how we delegate signature authority, assign responsibility, and explain policies to ensure AT0 compliance with the FAA directives system. AT0 directives writers and users receive more details on how to develop, prepare, and maintain directives. Finally, we show directives management personnel how to manage and implement a uniform directives system within their offices.

b. Consistent with FAA Order 1320.1, subordinate offices may supplement this coverage with more specific guidelines for their needs.
