Es ist vorgesehen, dass auf die Prüfverfahren und Prüfpläne, die in dieser Internationalen Norm beschreiben werden, in den jeweiligen internationalen Normen für metallische Werkstoffe, verwiesen wird.

Diese Internationale Norm ist nicht anwendbar auf Instrumente und zahnärztliches Amalgam sowie auf kieferorthopädische Apparaturen.
