Material Description. This specification covers the properties of a polyester low density Sheet Molding Compound (SMC), reinforced with 15% carbon fiber and 30% glass fibers, all are randomly oriented and 25 mm in length. The cured material shall have a density of 1.4 g/cm3 maximum.
