This Practice describes the criteria for designing and selecting pipe supports for aboveground metallic piping systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 (henceforth referred to as the Code). This Practice is limited to temperature ranges of 427˚C (800˚F) and less, and shall not be used for cryogenic service (i.e., temperature less than -101˚C (-150˚F)).
Purpose
This Practice provides design requirements for supporting piping systems.
