This International Standard lists the botanical names of the main species of a) cereals (section one); b) pulses (section two); c) other food grains (section three). It also lists their common names in English, French, Chinese, and ISTA (International Seed Testing Association) stabilized plant names. Various most commonly met synonyms of the botanical names are indicated in Annex A. The common names are listed alphabetically in the index.
