Application of standards and codes of practice
The use of excavators, loaders and other earth moving plant shall be in accordance with Railway Group Standard GC/OG0006 when carrying out earthworks and excavation.
The location and depth of existing services shall be determined prior to carrying out any excavation.
Earthworks and excavations shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of BS 6031 and BS 8004 except where qualified by the following Clauses.
