PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to review the provision of data link test points at back to back DLMs, with particular emphasis on the planned re-enforcement of SSI8500G involving a requirement for additional DLMs to provide suitable test points.

The intention is to define a hardware configuration at DLM repeater sites that provides adequate access for data link testing, given the test equipment currently accepted for use on Network Rail, and yet minimises the amount of fixed equipment required.
