Scope.
This specification covers the design, fabrication, and testing of silver-silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) reference cells. The reference cell, also known as a reference electrode, is a half cell with very consistent reproducible potential (voltage) against which the potentials of other metals are measured. The potential measurement is provided as a voltage signal to an impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system controller and may be used to control and monitor the ICCP system operation.
intended Use:
The reference cells are primarily intended for use in corrosion prevention in seawater of ship hulls, structures, sea chests, and similar marine structures. The reference cells supply a voltage... View More
