scope:
The purpose of this specification is to present the specification for materials that are used in ambient environment at temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius (C) or less and associated with contamination sensitive surfaces. These sensitive surfaces may include but are not limited to optics, windows, thermal "control" or "protective" surfaces. Materials to be tested include but are not limited to bagging materials, tapes, seals, adhesives, nonmetallic containers and covers.
This standard applies the following: All mandatory actions (i.e., requirements) are denoted by statements containing the term, "shall." The terms: "may" or "can" denote discretionary privilege or permission; "should" denotes a good practice and is recommended, but not required; "will" denotes an expected outcome; and "are/is" denotes descriptive material.
