Purpose:
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) 5134.01, the July 13, 2018 Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum, and pursuant to the Base Realignment and Closure Commission 2005 recommendation #176, this issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides direction for engineering support provided by the Military Services to the DLA in support of DLA Supply Classes II and IX.
