As detailed in the Line Route Risk Assessment Procedure PR5543, any assessment of risk should be carried out initially by a group consisting of:

a) a manager designated by the Head of Line Operations

b) an Instructor Operator

c) a Line Health and Safety Representative.

The LRRA must be reviewed:

a) three-yearly

b) prior to and in preparation for any major change to the railway infrastructure which affects the operation of trains (temporary or permanent)

c) after an incident, where the need for such review is indicated by the circumstances.

Purpose

This document aims to take someone through, step by step, how to complete the Line Route Risk Assessment (LRRA).
