Purpose.
The CFETP provides the information necessary for the Air Force Career Field Manager (AFCFM) (AF/JAX), MAJCOM Functional Managers (MFMs) (i.e., AFLOA/CC and MAJCOM SJAs), training management, supervisors and trainers to plan, develop, manage and conduct an effective and efficient career field training program. The plan outlines the training individuals in the 51JX career field should receive in order to develop and progress throughout their career. For purposes of this plan, training is divided into initial and advanced skills training; supplemental training; and continuing legal education. Initial skills training is mandatory for award of the AFSC. Continuing training and education is acquired through LL.M.s, commercially procured training, on-the-job training (OJT), AFJAGS advanced resident courses, sister service courses, and specialized training as required by MAJCOM or units.
