This standard describes requirements for doors and door hardware to comply with Code Requirements for single operation egress.
Tests described in this Standard are performed under laboratory conditions. In actual usage, results vary because of installation, door and frame construction, maintenance and environmental conditions.
Door hardware shall be certified to an applicable ANSI/BHMA A156 Standard as a prerequisite to qualify for this certification.
