This standard states the technical requirements for new indoor and outdoor semiconductor traction converters and their traction converter transformers with an input of 22 kV or 11 kV, three phase, 50 Hz, and a 12 pulse or 24 pulse DC output at a nominal pole to pole voltage in the range 630 V to 750 V DC, together with the associated equipment and documentation, to be installed on the LU Power System.

Purpose

This standard states the technical requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of traction converter groups comprising traction rectifier and associated traction transformer, and associated equipment and documentation for use on the LU Power System to provide power for electric traction.
