The present document specifies the profiles, codecs and formats for 5G Media Streaming (5GMS) services based on the 5G Media Streaming Architecture (5GMSA) including both unicast downlink and unicast uplink. The codec and format recommendations defined for each profile apply to the 5GMS client components in the User Equipment (UE) as well as the Media Application Server (AS). Profiles are defined to address specific service scenarios. A default profile is defined in the case no other profile is claimed to be supported. 5G Media Streaming protocols and formats are defined based on the Common Media Application Format (CMAF).
