PURPOSE.
This instruction reissues DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5100.76 (Reference (a)), in accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) 5143.01 (Reference (b)), to establish policy, assign responsibilities, and provide procedures for the formulation of uniform policy, standards, and guidance for the physical security of sensitive conventional AA&E, herein referred to as "AA&E," in the possession or custody of the DoD Components, DoD contractors, and under foreign military sales or security cooperation programs as outlined in Defense Security Cooperation Agency Manual 5105.38-M (Reference (c)).
