Purpose
This pamphlet provides uniform guidelines for packaging and marking within the Army. Packaging for the Army will conform to this pamphlet; DoDI 4140.01; AR 700-15/NAVSUST 4030.28F/AFMAN 24-206/MCO 4030.33F/DLAR 4145.7/DCMAR 4145.X; AR 700-37; and MIL-STD 2073-1E, regardless of where performed. Materiel offered for storage and shipment will be adequately protected, consolidated for effective handling, safe for transport, properly marked, and identified per MIL-STD-129R.
