Purpose of This Order.
The purpose of this order is to provide requirements and guidelines to protect Flight Standards Service (FS) personnel from injury, illness, or death while performing work-related duties on or near aircraft accident sites. This order applies to all aircraft accident sites and at facilities where aircraft are being reconstructed for forensic analyses.
