This standard is applicable to the London Underground (LU) Power & Electrical, Rolling Stock & Engineering Vehicles, Stations, Civils & Infrastructure (SCI), Signals and Track assets to prevent or rectify non-compliance.

Responsibilities cover LU managers responsible for delivering maintenance activities and Lead Maintenance Assurance Engineers (LMAE) for activities that they are responsible for assuring as set out in the Maintenance Assurance Plans.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to detail the requirements for the structure, format, content, issue, control and withdrawal of Delivery Regulatory Notices (DRNs).

Note: The DRN process is a tool for the LU Maintenance Assurance team to invoke in order to prevent and rectify non-compliance at an early stage. Lead Maintenance Assurance Engineers (LMAEs) are embedded in LU Maintenance Assurance and hold the appropriate delegated authority from the Professional Head to discharge assurance duties.
