Scope and Applicability.
This policy applies to all Navy military correctional facilities (MCF) authorized to confine female prisoners per reference (a). This instruction applies to Navy shore MCFs authorized to confine female offenders and in the transportation, restraint and supervision of female prisoners within or in transit to such MCFs.
Purpose.
To implement gender-responsive strategies and principles in the management of female prisoners within the Navy Corrections System.
