This guidance applies to anyone who intends to purchase components (in any batch size >1) which will require long term storage by London Underground (LU) for later use.
This guidance should be followed when any components, whose condition may deteriorate after receipt, are to be purchased by LU.
Purpose
The purpose of this guidance is to prevent the recurrence of large quantities of material remaining in stores for long periods without being drawn for use and/or deteriorating beyond usable condition.
