This QPL has been prepared for use by or for the Government in the acquisition of products covered by the subject non-Government standard and inclusion of a product is not intended to and does not connote endorsement of the product by the Department of Defense. All products included herein have been qualified under the requirements for the products as specified in the latest effective issue of the applicable non-Government standard. This QPL is updated as necessary and is subject to change without notice. Inclusion of a product does not release or otherwise affect the obligation of the manufacturer to comply with the non-Government standard requirements.

THE ACTIVITY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS QUALIFIED PRODUCTS LIST IS THE NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND (ATTENTION: COMMANDER, NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION, CODE 412200B120-3E, HIGHWAY 547, JOINT BASE MDL, NJ 08733-5100). NOTES:
Each bearing manufacturer listed in this QPL is approved to supply its approved unplated bearings (listed herein) with the outside diameter zinc-nickel plated according to SAE-AMS2417, Type 2 or cadmium plated according to SAE-AMS-QQ-P-416, Type II, Class 2 when plating is specified by the purchaser. The designation for plated parts is characterized by addition of the letters P or E to the Non-Government Standards Body (NGSB) designation for the unplated parts. For existing inventories, cadmium plated parts are acceptable.
Each bearing manufacturer listed in this QPL is approved to supply its approved bearings (listed herein) with low-torque when a low-torque bearing is specified by the purchaser. The designation for low-torque parts is characterized by the addition of the letter K to the NGSB designation.
Each bearing manufacturer listed in this QPL is approved to supply its approved bearings (listed herein) with oversize outside diameters when an oversize bearing is specified by the purchaser. There are two permissible oversize diameter increments (0.010 and 0.020 inch oversize). The designation for an oversize part is characterized by the addition of the letters T or U to the NGSB designation (T for 0.010 inch oversize and U for 0.020-inch oversize).
The addition of the letters P or E, K, T or U to the NGSB designation indicates plated, low-torque or oversize bearings.
"Type A" parts are a suitable replacement for "non-Type A." The inverse is not true. "Type A" indicates qualification to 100,000 cycles vs 25,000 cycles for "non-Type A". "Type A" is indicated by an "A" code following the part number designation (e.g. MS14101A-8 is a suitable replacement for MS14101-8, but MS14101-8 is not a suitable replacement for MS14101A-8).
The * and ** at the end of some of the manufacturer's designations in this QPL have been included for the purposes of batch loading the parts into the QPD only. For the purposes of this QPL, both the bearings with the asterisk(s) and without are considered to be qualified parts.
