PURPOSE. This Instruction implements and sets forth policies and responsibilities for JSC personnel engaged in the acquisition, use, control, and disposal of Government equipment. Each JSC employee has a basic responsibility to be knowledgeable of the appropriate use of Government equipment in a manner consistent with Federal Property Management Regulations as specifically defined in NHB 4200.1, "NASA Equipment Management Manual."
APPLICABILITY. The provisions of this Instruction apply to all JSC personnel, including on-site and certain off-site contractors.
