Inclusions

This publicly available specification (PAS) is a best practice guidance document for commercial electric vehicle (EV) chargers. It incorporates:

(a) WorkSafe New Zealand safety requirements and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency guidance;

(b) Advice on the energy-efficient transmission of electricity from the grid to an EV, via a charger in a commercial installation setting, and on the types of chargers available to optimise this efficiency.

Exclusions

This PAS does not apply to residential charging points installed for individual EV owners, on a non-commercial basis. For residential applications, please refer to SNZ PAS 6011.
