Scope and Applicability.

This instruction applies to Navy members assigned to units designated as unusually arduous sea duty according to references (a) through (d). Personnel assigned to units that are not listed in enclosure (1) of this instruction are not entitled to these allowances.

Purpose.

To designate ships, afloat staffs and units, which qualify as unusually arduous sea duty pursuant with reference (a) for purposes of determining travel and transportation allowances under reference (b). This revision updates units designated in enclosure (1).
