This document specifies the minimum operational and performance requirements, methods of testing and test results of marine echo-sounding equipment required to comply with the performance standards adopted by the IMO Resolution A.224(VII) as amended by IMO Resolution MSC.74(69), Annex 4. In addition, it takes account of IMO Resolution A.694(17) and is associated with IEC 60945. When a requirement in this International Standard is different from IEC 60945, the requirement in this International Standard takes precedence.
