Purpose
This regulation establishes standards and guidelines for furnishing uniforms or paying uniform allowances under Title IV, Public Law 83 - 763, as amended, 5 USC 5901 - 5903 (The Federal Employees Uniform Allowance Act) to Department of the Army (DA) Civilian employees. The policy prescribed by this regulation applies to all Army Civilian employees, including non-U.S. civilian employees and local national employees, within the United States and outside the United States, who are to be furnished a uniform-or monetary allowance in lieu thereof-under the authority of the act. It does not apply to furnished, special clothing, or to uniforms under other legal authority.
