This part of the standard specifies a test method (using gas chromatography, GC) for detection and quantification of al l extractable perfluorinated and polyfluorinated v ol at i le substances in textile products (for example, in fabrics treated with fluoro-chemical finishes and in coated fabrics). Classes of volatile and non volatile (Part 1 of this Standard) compounds (regulated and of concern) in Table 1 include acids, salt acids, esters, amides, telomers, sulfonates, sulfonamides and sulfonamidalcohols.
