The following document is intended to provide guidance for report of black liquor recovery boiler availability. The coordinated use of suggested definitions would allow for consistent industry wide reporting of availability.
Typical system boundary for a recovery boiler system
• Black liquor from concentrator/evapora
• Flue gas leaving stack
• Feedwater (at inlet to feedwater control valve)
• Steam leaving (main steam stop valve)
