With the exception of Class 4 plant property and automatic data processing equipment, the procedures contained in this instruction are applicable to all excess contractor inventory, as defined in references (a) and (b).
Purpose. To assign responsibilities and provide the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Centers (NAVAIRWARCENs) with procedures for screening and utilizing excess "contractor inventory" as defined in references (a) part 45.6 and (b) part 245.6.
