This guidance applies to all escalators maintained by London Underground (LU).
This guidance is to ensure a safe system of work is followed by all escalator maintenance engineers, for the maintenance and repair of escalators and associated assets in an escalator environment.
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to define the generic working procedures, work instructions and individual responsibilities associated with undertaking escalator repair works in an Escalator Machine Room and or Environment.
