This Chapter establishes the design requirements for SWATH vessels, which include the requirements for hull construction and equipment in Section 2-2, and the vessel systems and machinery in Section 2-3.
Material and welding requirements are to be in accordance with ABS Rules for Materials and Welding (Part 2) as applicable. Survey is to comply with Chapter 4 of this Guide.
2-1/Figure 1 shows the overall class requirements and corresponding rule references for SWATH vessels.
