scope:
This standard shall govern the treating procedure, the minimum retentions and penetrations to be obtained, and the physical condition of the lumber when pressure treating industrial water-cooling tower lumber. Treatment shall be in accordance with the American Wood Protection Association (hereinafter referred to as AWPA) Standard, with the exceptions noted below in Sections 4,5,7 and 8. Other applicable standards of the AWPA "Book of Standards" are listed in Section 10.
