PURPOSE. To provide for implementation of NMI 2080.1, "Processing of Monetary Claims (General)," and to define local procedures for the submission and investigation of personal property claims by employees under the jurisdiction of JSC.
APPLICABILITY. The provisions of this Directive are applicable to claims against NASA for damage to, or loss of, personal property incident to service with NASA cognizable under the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees' Claims Act of 19 64 (31 U.S.C. 3701-3702, 3721-3731) and NASA governing regulations (14 CFR Subpart 1261.3).
