This TECH Talk is an overview of electrified architectural hardware. Years ago, electrified door hardware was new to our industry. Today you will see it on nearly every project you work on. With the increased security needs of public buildings in today's society, understanding how to integrate electrified door hardware products into access control, monitoring and fire alarm systems, while maintaining compliance with fire, life safety, accessibility and building code requirements is a skill anyone who furnishes or installs door hardware need to have.
