This document specifies the terms and definitions, design, performance, test and inspection, marking, packaging, handling and storage of pneumatic quick-closing control devices. This Standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of quick-closing control devices. NOTE 1 - The pneumatic quick-closing control devices are, in general, the remotely operated devices for closing valves, fire dampers and shutters to be complied with the requirements of the relevant SOLAS provisions.
