The scope of this annex includes those chemicals listed in Table 4.1 of NSF/ANSI/CAN 600. The process for prioritization of the chemicals and the subsequent reassessment of priority chemicals (see Figure 3) are included. In addition, the impact of new information that is identified during on-going monitoring that may inform chemical reprioritization is described (see Figure 4).
Purpose
The purpose of this annex is to outline the prioritization scheme and processes certifying bodies will use to reevaluate chemical risk assessments subject of NSF/ANSI/CAN 600 drinking water criteria.
