DNV-RP-E308

Mooring integrity management

active, Most Current
Publication Date: 1 October 2021
Status: active
Page Count: 84
scope:

This document provides guidance on the application of MIM for existing and new assets during their complete life cycle. It covers the design, manufacturing, installation, and operational phases, including considerations for the life extension and relocation of the asset.

The moorings for mobile offshore units (MOUs) are not included in this RP due to the different ways in which these mooring systems are designed, maintained and operated. Specifically, moorings for permanently moored units may be operated and inspected in-situ for the entire field life, whereas for MOUs the common approach is that the mooring system is recovered and inspected onshore on a periodic basis.

This RP is predominantly focussed on MIM for permanent moorings for FPUs but may also be used for other applications, see [1.4].
