Purpose.
This standard provides a consistent set of special requirements for performing tests to develop material property data on metals supporting finite element analysis (FEA) and other modeling methods. This standard may be cited in conjunction with other test standards in Statements of Requirements (SOR) and other documents. Suppliers are expected to use methods cited herein to meet requirements to provide fatigue test data to GM.
