This standard covers workers engaged in construction, utility work, maintenance or repair activities on any area of a roadway.
Purpose
Establishes the minimum requirements for the construction and maintenance of roadways to achieve the following objectives:
1. Prevent worker injuries and illnesses resulting from working in roadway work zones.
2. Establish safe work practices in roadway work zones.
3. Prevent vehicular crashes in roadway work zones.
