Purpose.

This Instruction provides policy guidance for the Professional Military Education (PME) of enlisted members in the Armed Forces of the United States, with particular emphasis on Enlisted Joint PME (EJPME). It assigns responsibilities, establishes Joint Learning Areas (JLAs) and Joint Learning Outcomes (JLOs) for enlisted education, and provides instructions regarding oversight and execution of EJPME.
