Purpose of This Order.

This order establishes a national policy for managing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personal property assets in compliance with the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended codified in 40 United States Code 524, and other regulations contained in appendix A.

This policy covers personal property (defined below), including motor fleet vehicles and government property acquired by or furnished to a contractor or third party. It serves as a highlevel overview of property management asset lifecycle management and implements applicable Federal laws and regulations.
