This Recommendation contains a literature analysis to understand the blockchain energy demands and how these can be optimized.
The aim of this Recommendation is to:
• explain the energy demands of blockchain,
• define the blockchain energy model,
• describe the energy efficiency parameters that can be calibrated in order to enhance the corresponding energy efficiency.
