AIRWORTHINESS ENGINEERING ACADEMIC CURRICULA

active, Most Current
Organization: AIA/NAS
Publication Date: 14 February 2022
Status: active
Page Count: 57
scope:

NAS9945-1 defines curricula structure and suggested content for airworthiness engineering academic courses, certificates, and degree programs. It sets guidelines for proposed content inclusion within traditional engineering programs commonly depended upon by the aerospace community for supplying entry-level personnel needs. To that extent, for established institutions that choose to do so, this standard presents an acceptable means for creating and offering airworthiness engineering educational content or curricula within existing and new academic engineering programs at colleges and universities in the US.

This document focuses on institutions of higher education, their educators, and their technical programs with airworthiness engineering content, especially those that may appeal to working professionals employed by industry and government and engineering students who aspire to attain airworthiness related positions in industry or government.
