scope:

Abstract:

The 2020 Transactions of the American Foundry Society includes technical papers encompassing a wide range of metalcasting technology. The papers cover the latest metalcasting research, process and equipment developments and foundry best practice case studies. All papers published in AFS Transactions have been approved after a rigorous peer review process, to ensure that only original papers of the highest quality are accepted for publication. The AFS Transactions has been published annually since 1896.

In this volume, 26 technical papers on the following topics were scheduled to be presented at the 124th AFS Metalcasting Congress, in April 2020:
