scope:

This specification applies to protective track hose used to protect signalling cables and other assets that would otherwise not be suitable for being laid directly onto railway ballast or run under traction current rails. This specification shall be used by all those engaged in the design, manufacture and supply of flexible track hose, when undertaking these activities.

Purpose

The purpose of this specification is to define requirements for 1000 V rated hose for providing mechanical and electrical protection for track crossing signalling cables laid directly onto railway track ballast and crossing under traction current and running rails.
