This guidance applies to all employees of TfL and its subsidiaries.

To help foster an inclusive work environment, this guide aims to:

i. Ensure managers are equipped to anticipate and support the needs of employees who observe fasting in the workplace.

ii. Provide practical information for all employees, including those who observe fasting and those who do not, to raise their awareness of fasting-related practices, associated needs, and how to support colleagues more effectively.

Purpose

The purpose of this guide is to outline Transport for London's (TfL) inclusive approach to supporting fasting employees in the workplace. This guide provides managers and employees with information, which should be used in conjunction with the supporting resources in the fasting toolkit, including the fasting risk assessment, where applicable.
